Tommy and Michelle, along with her daughter, were celebrating the Fourth of July at Ocean City. The couple was about to go out to dinner, just the two of them, and on the way to the restaurant, Tommy led Michelle to the beach and popped the question! A joyous occasion was made even more special since Michelle could share it with her daughter.
Originally, the couple wanted to have a destination wedding in Hawaii, however, they realized their group of family and friends was too large. Instead, they opted for a tropical theme wedding with Asian enhancements, since Michelle is Filipino and Tommy is Chinese. Michelle is the Director of Special Events for 2941 Restaurant, so she knew it was the perfect venue for their wedding.
The guests will be sure to remember Michelle and Tommy’s reception! They had koi fish food, in organza bags put together by the couple, so guest could feed the fish. They created a Polaroid selfie station so everyone could take a photo and add it to the sign-in book. There were lawn games for adults, an entertaining photobooth, great tasting signature cocktails, extraordinary food, and an amazing DJ who kept the guests dancing all night long! At the end of the night, the guests were able to take home a cupcake that was put together by Michelle and Tommy.
Guest could enjoy crab salad for an appetizer and had a choice between Chilean sea bass, chicken and filet Mignon. The couple purchased the cake from Tyson’s bakery and kept it simple but yet delicious with a white cake and dark chocolate ganache filling and vanilla swiss buttercream. The venue also provided a small dessert buffet with sweets and fruit.
It is the little details that make a wedding a memorable occasion for all! The couple’s wedding planner, Elisa with Exceptional Events by Elisa, saw their vision and continuously met with Michelle and Tommy to ensure everything was prepared for the wedding. Elisa used her decorative ideas to help Michelle pull together the beautiful tropical yet classy theme she desired. The color pink popped against golden accents, the words “sweet” and “love” were draped behind the desserts and Elisa even hand crafted each napkin into a beautiful, romantic rose.
Michelle and Tommy shared an exquisite day with family and friends and we know their marriage will be just as loving and beautiful filled with lots of and laughter!
